DIRECTIONS

Leave M6 motorway at junction 40, Penrith. Go west along the A66, following signs to Keswick and Cockermouth. After approximately 18 miles you will come upon direction signs for Keswick (disregard all three turnings) and continue on A66 towards Cockermouth and Workington.

*Approximately 250 yards past the third Keswick junction there is a left turn signed Portinscale and Grange.

Take this turnoff over a small stone bridge, past the Farmers Arms on the left; carry on up through the village until the road bears sharply right.

Turn left on the bend in front of Harney Peak and we are 50 yards further on.

As an alternative from the south, leave the M6 at junction 36, bypass Kendal and take the A591 through the lakes. Drive through Keswick and pick up the A66 going west, signed Cockermouth and Workington and then follow instructions above from *.
